July 29 - August 1, 2014 - Lake George, NY: John Jennings, Jane Connerton and Tom Paolangeli attended the NYSECA summer conference. In our User's Group we discussed the recent TEAM upgrade as well as best practices for absentee voter procedures. We also talked about the necessity of regular database backups, SQL maintenance and disaster planning. We previewed a document that should help Commissioners understand the importance of these procedures and facilitate discussions between them and their IT departments.

 January 14-16, 2014 - Albany, NY: John Jennings, Mark Rossman, Jane Connerton and Tom Paolangeli attend the New York State Election Commissioners Association's Winter Conference. Also attending were Mike Sibley and Sue Whittemore from Decision Support, our partner in our electronic poll book project, TEAM-EPB.  Together we showcased an updated version of the poll book, which generated a lot of interest and positive comments.  We continue to customize TEAM-EPB to best serve the wants and needs of New York State election administrators and voters. We also had a very well attended User's Group meeting, where we discussed software updates and our improved online access to training and support materials.

December 3, 2013 - It's official, NTS has completed the move from our home of over 20 years to a newly renovated and expanded facility located at 2079 Sawyer Drive in Niagara Falls!  Although it is just a couple miles down the road, it is leaps and bounds from where we were.  The new facility provides for an excellent work environment for NTS' valuable and talented staff members and is large enough to accommodate the growth we anticipate in the coming years.  Come visit us if you are in the area!

December, 2013 - NTS to Offer Optional On-Site Refresher Training Sessions. With all the changes that have occurred with Board of Elections personnel, election laws and additional enhancements to TEAM, the NTS' Customer Support group is hitting the road once again offering training at customers' sites.  Counties who have had staff turnover can take advantage of Customer Support's collective knowledge of TEAM and Sign-It! software to assist them with any concerns they may have.  "This is a great opportunity to be one-on-one with our customers in their actual working environment, where the primary focus can be strictly on them. In December, over a dozen counties are scheduled for onsite visits by Tom Paolangeli or myself"  - Jane Connerton Customer Support Manager

November, 2013 - NTS' TEAM-ED (Total Elections Administrative Manager for Education) Software Package is now available through both the Nassau and Eastern Suffolk BOCES.  The TEAM-ED system provides School Districts accurate voter information, simplifies the vote preparation process and improves the overall workflow of their voting events.

November 6-8 2013 - Albany, NY: NTS well received at NYSASBO Business Management Workshop. With record attendance of over 500 attendees, Heather White and Mark Rossman of NTS were kept hopping with all the people that stopped by the display to get a look at our election management software TEAM-ED.  It was a time to see old friends and make new ones. We are very grateful for the hospitality we were shown at the Conference and for being allowed to participate and offer our insight during some of the sessions.  Discussions included how changes on the State level will affect the way Districts manage their budget votes in the future.  See you next year!

November 5, 2013 - Could it be a General Election again? State and local Elections were held today across the United States with many jurisdictions using the voter registration and election management software and services supplied by NTS. 

October 2, 2013 - Mohawk Regional Information Center Technology Showcase. If technology is the name of the game then NTS is there to participate.  Our staff joined Superintendents, Business Officials, Technology Coordinators, Teachers and Students for the fifth annual Showcase. This showcase allowed participants to learn about the latest in education-related technology and software initiatives such as NTS' TEAM-ED Voter Registration Software.  Thanks for the invite MORIC- we were proud to participate! 

October 1, 2013 - Tom Paolangeli joins NTS as a Customer Support Analyst. Tom brings a wealth of real world election experience with him.  For the past eleven years, Tom has worked at the Tompkins County Board of Elections. In 2004, Tom was appointed Deputy Election Commissioner.  Tom also served on the County's Web and Training Committees, and was Webmaster for the New York State Election Commissioners Association. Tom's background and experience will complement our talented group of election support specialists nicely.  Welcome aboard Tom!  

August 14-17, 2013 - Savannah GA: Jane Connerton Customer Support Manager attended the Election Center's National Conference held in the great State of Georgia.  Presentations focused on upcoming and proposed federal legislation in elections.  Awards were presented to voter administration professionals who successfully implemented new and creative voter outreach programs.  Jane attended a training course on Managing Elections Resources for renewal of her designation as a Certified Elections and Registration Administrator.  We are proud that Jane has held this certification since 2001.

August, 2013 - NTS Customer Supports implements the use of Zen Desk  software to provide better tracking and feedback to customers who have questions or report problems.  The Zen Desk system uses tickets to gather data, assign tasks or problems and allows direct response to the customer from within the system.  Over time, the system will measure and improve response times to customers.

 July, 2013 - NTS begins preparation and training for the fully compliant MOVE Act release of TEAM software to 50 counties in NY State.  This release shares absentee activity on a real-time basis to the NY Statewide Voter Database, NYSVoter, on military and federal absentee voters.  This release enhances each county's ability to provide the absentees covered by the federal MOVE Act of 2009, with the ability to receive their ballots via email or fax if desired.

June 27, 2013 - NTS officially announces launch of TEAM-EPB. Today NTS Data Services entered into a collaborative agreement with Decision Support, LLC to develop a TEAM integrated electronic poll book solution called Total Election Administrative Manager Electronic Poll Book or TEAM-EPB for short. TEAM -EPB will to aid counties across the state with improving the voter experience.  "We have worked hard to put together the components necessary to ensure the best electronic poll book solution possible. It was not enough to just present a new product; we wanted to take what our customers have and make it more.  Partnering with the good team from Decision Support will allow us to do just that" -Mark Rossman Director of Government Services.

June 18-21, 2013 - Lake Placid, NY:  NTS holds User Group Session at the NYSECA Summer Conference.  As has always been the case, there is no better time than the summer conference to get our customers together to discuss new ideas and approaches to making things the best they can be.  In this case, the meeting consisted of 50 counties and over 100 county elections officials all with one goal in mind - how to better serve the voters of NYS.  Jane Connerton, John Jennings and Mark Rossman were on hand to discuss forthcoming customer driven improvements, the MOVE Act, new technologies and answer questions. "It was a spirited discussion and a dialog we look forward to every year. Our customers bring challenges and great ideas to the table. June 2-5, 2013 - Saratoga Springs, NY: Saratoga Springs Conference Center was the place to be for the NYSASBO Education Summit and Expo. NTS' dynamic duo of Heather White and Mark Rossman were pleased to carry the NTS flag into an exhibit hall comprised of over 100 exhibitors.  School officials from across New York took time to learn more about the many products and services in use today by State School Districts.  Heather and Mark were kept incredibly busy by the many folks that stopped by our booth to learn more about why our customers feel NTS' TEAM-ED voter registration software is considered the best in the industry. 

April 24-25 2013 - Saratoga Springs, NY: NTS joins County IT professionals from across the State for the annual NYSLGITDA Spring Conference. This venue brings together more than 90 county, state and other local government CIOs, IT Directors and Senior Staff from across New York State.The New York State Local Government Information Technology Directors' Association (NYSLGITDA) is dedicated to the coordination and improvement of information technology at the local levels of government in New York State. NYSLGITDA accomplishes its mission through a membership that includes over 70 municipalities conducting semi-annual conferences designed to encourage effective communications between local government technology leaders, New York departments and technology developers.

March 13, 2013 - Albany, NY: In keeping with our philosophy that participation is the best road to knowledge Mark Rossman Director of Government Services and Heather White Business Development Specialist were on hand to spend the day with District Clerks from across the region for NYSASBO's 3rd Annual District Clerks Regional Workshop.  Discussions included a compressive review of Open Meeting Law, Parliamentary Procedures, and Public Hearing Requirements. March 6, 2013 - Rochester, NY: NTS proudly sponsors NYSSBA 3rd Annual District Clerks Workshop. Director of Government Services, Mark Rossman, joined school business officials comprised of District Clerks, Superintendents and School Board members for an extensive day of discussion.  This forum put together by the good folks at NYSSBA is designed to aid School Officials in their ongoing effort to stay ahead of the curve.  Topics ranged from new election and budget vote requirements, the development and use of new voting machines and technology to conduct board meetings

March 5, 2013 - Evan Holm joins NTS as a Customer Support Analyst.  Evan brings to NTS a strong work ethic no doubt carried over by way of extensive training received through his service in U.S. Military. January 14-17, 2013 - Albany, NY: NTS staff participates in New York State Election Commissioners Association (NYSECA) annual Winter Conference after coming through what many elections experts deem one of the most lengthy and challenging election years in NY State history. NTS joined elections personnel from across the State to begin planning and strategizing on how new election laws and pending technologies will shape 2013 and future election cycles throughout New York.
