November 6, 2012 - The 2012 Presidential Election is finally here!  Many months of preparation for this day culminate in a well-run and successful election day for NTS' customers throughout the US.  Another one in the record books!  Even with the impacts of Sandy, our customer base does a top notch job in ensuring the conduct of elections.

November 5, 2012 - NTS Director of Government Services, Mark Rossman, addresses School District Clerks from around the region at their Chief School Officers meeting in Franklinville, New York.  Benefits of NTS' TEAM-ED Election Management system are discussed.

October 29, 2012 - Devastating Superstorm Sandy hits the U.S. in the critical days before the Presidential Election.  NTS assists customers in both New York State and New Jersey as they are forced to close their offices in the wake of the hurricane.  While counties scramble to find alternate polling places and sources of power, NTS works to make sure the necessary supplies including poll books are available to conduct the election.

October 11, 2012 - NTS staff participates in the NYSLGITDA (New York State Local Government IT Director’s Association) discussion group during their meeting in Saratoga Springs, NY.  NTS is a proud supporter of this organization where IT staff from around the state meet to share ideas and learn others.

October 3, 2012 - NTS' home, Niagara County, New York, is also the spot for the 12th Annual Technology and Homeland Security Forum, Western New York's leading Technology & Homeland Security event.  NTS has been a longtime supporter and was happy to attend the Annual Forum today to share with attendees our advances in election management software and practices.

September 23, 2012 - NTS staff attended the New York Council of School Superintendents (NYSCOSS) Fall Leadership Summit in Saratoga Springs, New York addressing High Quality Education Beyond the Mandates.  In addition to participating in the tradeshow, NTS also attended several sessions. Superintendents approached the challenge of increasing quality of education while dealing with budgetary restraints.

September 13, 2012 - New York Counties hold the annual state and local primary on a Thursday this year as the normal primary date would have fallen on the 11th.

August 22, 2012 - Pennsylvania's annual State Elections Conference is help in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - home to one of our long time poll book customers. Once again NTS joined County elections bureaus from across the Commonwealth to discuss key topics including upcoming changes and legislation.

August 1 - 3, 2012 - The New York State Election Commissioners Association (NYSECA) held their annual summer conference in Cortland County, NY. NTS personnel actively participated in sessions ranging from New York State and Federal election requirements such as the Military and Overseas Voting Empowerment Act (MOVE) to changes that may impact on other elections in the State including those associated with School Districts.  NTS used this opportunity to conduct a User's Group meeting to discuss the many pertinent topics in this busy Presidential election year.

July 15, 2012 - Heather White, NTS' Business Development Specialist, along with Mark Rossman, Director of Government Services, and Jane Connerton, Manage of Customer Support participate in the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO) Summer Business Workshop held in Albany, New York.  NTS also hosted a meeting of our growing number of TEAM-ED customers as an informal User's Group.

June 26, 2012 - NTS assists New York Counties conduct the federal court ordered primary for US Senate and House of Representative seats.  This special primary was needed to ensure compliance with the Military and Overseas Voting Empowerment Act (MOVE) which helps Military and Federal voters cast their absentee ballots in a timely fashion.  The addition of this election will make a total of four major elections that counties need to conduct in 2012 instead of the expected three.

June 14, 2012 - NTS was invited by the Niagara County Board of Elections to attend and address School Districts in the Niagara County region at a meeting regarding costs and implementation options for School Districts as they consider new software and services for their upcoming 2013 budget vote

June 3, 2012 - NTS staff travel to Saratoga Springs, New York for the Annual Conference of the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO).  This meeting brings together business officials from all across New York State for informative and educational sessions on current issues facing School Districts.  NTS attended the trade show to highlight our TEAM-ED Election Management solution for School Districts.

May 16, 2012 - NTS continues its involvement with NYS Information Technology Officers through active participation in the NYSLGITDA (New York State Local Government IT Director's Association) Annual Conference held in Saratoga Springs, New York.  Working with fifty counties in New York and over 30 School Districts in the State let us enjoy seeing many old friends and meet a number of new faces.

May 15, 2012 - School Districts across New York State conduct their Annual Budget Vote.  More and more Districts are relying on NTS' TEAM-ED software for election management in budget votes, even more vital now with the Tax Cap in place.

April 1, 2012 - NTS helps our New York County customer base complete the extensive Assembly, Senate and Congressional Redistricting based on the 2010 census.  Many customers used NTS' ChalkBoard tool that allowed for the modeling of redistricting changes while still conducting the Presidential Preference Primary as well as the court ordered Federal Primary.

March 23, 2012 - Mark Rossman attends the NYSSBA meeting in Fairport, New York covering the same topics as the March 19th session in Albany. Many Western New York School Districts attend this meeting.

March 19, 2012 -  Heather White, NTS Business Development Specialist, attends the New York State School Board Association (NYSSBA) meeting held in Albany, New York covering Tools to Help District Clerks Stay Ahead of the Curve.  Election Management solutions including NTS' TEAM-ED are among the items discussed.

January 24, 2012 - The Yates County Board of Elections invited NTS to speak with Superintendents and District Clerks in the region about our services and expertise in areas of election requirements as they relate specifically to both Counties and School Districts.  Mark Rossman, NTS' Director of Government Services presented at this Information Session.

January 17 - 20, 2012 - The New York State Election Commissioners Association (NYSECA) held their 97th Annual Winter Training Conference at the Statler Hotel in Ithaca, New York.  During this conference, NTS held our annual User Group Session to get customer feedback on how NTS can improve the level of services it provides and enhance the tools we provide for election management and voter registration.

2011 News:

November 8, 2011 -  New York State conducts the 2011 General Election.  Once again NTS provided the tools, products, services and expertise that allowed our customers to run successful elections.  Looking forward to a busy 2012 Presidential Election year and the challenges it will present.

October 27, 2011 - The New York State School Board Association (NYSSBA) holds their Annual Conference in downtown Buffalo a short distance from NTS' Niagara Falls headquarters.  Welcome to Western New York!

October 5, 2011 - NTS participates in the 2011 Technology and Homeland Security Forum covering topics such as preventing security issues within your information network and implementing the proper disaster recovery procedures. Held in Niagara Falls, this well received event is run by Niagara County.

September 13, 2011 - It's Primary election day in New York State!  Millions of voters participate, many relying on software, products and services provided by NTS to 50 counties throughout the state.

July 17, 2011 -The New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO) holds their Annual Summer Business Workshop in Albany, New York.  NTS participates in the trade show and engages many school districts in discussions about election management.  NTS also uses this as an opportunity to get together for informal meetings with our current TEAM-ED customers.

June 10, 2011 - Heather White, NTS' Business Development Specialist is invited by Orange County New York Election Commissioners to participate in a meeting with District Clerks throughout Orange County.  During this meeting, information was shared with the Districts regarding the implementation of the new optical scan voting machines.  Heather explained how NTS products and services can streamline their voting procedures.

June 5, 2011 - NTS staff head to Saratoga Springs, New York to participate in the New York State Association of School Business Officials (NYSASBO) annual conference.  In addition to the active tradeshow, sessions are attended by NTS representatives.

May 18, 2011 - NTS staff attends the NYSLGITDA (New York State Local Government IT Director's Association) Annual Conference held in Saratoga Springs, New York. 

May 17, 2011 - School Districts throughout New York State conduct the 2011 Annual Budget Vote.  NTS staff hit the road to visit a number of School Districts using NTS' TEAM-ED election management solution for the first time. 

April 27, 2011 - The New York State Board of Elections conducts their Annual Conference in Albany, New York.  NTS staff from Customer Support, Software Development and Sales and Marketing participated in this widely attended meeting.

February 27, 2011 -NTS participates in the New York State Council of Superintendents (NYSCOSS) Winter Institute held at the Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY.  In addition to participation in the Trade Show, sessions including the keynote address were attended.

January 25, 2011- NTS staff attends the New York State Election Commissioners Association (NYSECA) meeting in Rockland County, New York.  A full agenda and many excellent sessions related to the conduct of elections makes for busy days for the four NTS staff in attendance.

2010 and earlier News:

November 2, 2010 - Another General election including Federal Offices is conducted today.  This will be the last election for Federal offices, State Assembly and State Senate that is held using the lines established based on the 2010 census.  Busy years ahead!

September 14, 2010 - Counties throughout the State of New York conducted their Primary Elections today using optical scan voting equipment. NTS eSuite customers using TERACS, the election reporting module of eSuite, started publishing unofficial results moments after the 9 p.m. close of polls.

September 10, 2010 - NTS is now a proud member of the New York State Council of Superintendents (NYSCOSS). As a new Strategic Partner of The Council, we look forward to exhibiting in the Marketplace of Ideas at their upcoming 2010 Fall Leadership Summit, "The Courage of Superintendency", September 26-28, in Saratoga Springs.

June 10, 2010 - NTS attends the 62nd Annual New York State Association of School Business Officials conference in Saratoga Springs. Along with Saratoga County Board of Elections, NTS will demonstrate the use of the new Optical Scan voting machines and Ballot Marking devices. This will serve as a "sneak peak" for many of the districts attending.

May 18, 2010 - NTS prints and delivers poll books for over 1.2 million voters in 11 counties for the 2010 Municipal Primary Elections in Pennsylvania. NTS has been providing election solutions in Pennsylvania for nearly 20 years.

May 11, 2010 - The New York State Board of Elections has provided counties NCOA files. New York Election law, Section 4-117 was amended last year to provide that the Mail Check of Registrants be performed between August 1st and August 5th of each year.

April 20, 2010 - New Jersey conducts annual school board elections and NTS prints poll books for over one million voters for Bergen, Somerset and Morris counties.

March 23 - 24, 2010 - NTS attends the New Jersey Association of Election Officials (NJAEO) 73rd Annual Conference, meeting with long time customers, Morris, Bergen and Somerset counties.

February 16, 2010 - The Schenectady County Clerk's office is up and running on totally new hardware after a complete upgrade performed by NTS staff over the long holiday weekend. This replacement was accomplished with no downtime for the Clerks staff and provides for faster processing of court and land records as well as providing for better redundancy and disaster recovery.

January 7 - 8, 2010 - Keeping abreast of election administration and voter registration trends and developments, NTS attends the Joint Election Officials Liaison Committee (JEOLC) meeting in Washington, DC. County and State Election Officials have the opportunity to hear from Election Assistance Commission Staff and Commissioners as well as Congressional staff regarding issues of the day like the MOVE Act as well as future directions. NTS has attended this meeting for nearly 15 years.

December 15, 2009 - The dust has settled from the successful pilots of optical scan voting machines throughout New York State and the pilot of the NTS Asset Tracking and Management System, Custodian, has been a success! Custodian was utilized by both the Niagara and Oswego County Boards of Elections to track voting equipment during storage, maintenance, transportation and deployment. This system allowed the counties to maintain a strict chain of custody throughout the process.

December 1, 2009 - NTS provides poll books to the Dutchess County Board of Cooperative Education Services (BOCES) for their vote on a new centralized campus. This election involved nearly 170,000 voters spanning 3 counties and 14 school districts. Dutchess BOCES used NTS supplied poll books with signatures and bar codes to process voters for the December 1st vote.

November 3, 2009 - Happy General Election Day!  As always, NTS will be providing customer support throughout the day and evening for our customers.  If you encounter any difficulties or have questions please call customer support starting at 5:00 a.m. We will have support representatives on duty to assist you in the case of a problem. Customer support will be staffed through the evening after polls close. Remember, we're not done until you're done!

October 27, 2009 - Legislation just enacted in New York State requires the availability of a countywide street finder at every polling place. In order to comply with this new State legislation for the General election next week, NTS has supplied guidance to the 49 counties we serve with TEAM software. As deployed, the TEAM system has the capability of providing a report that will meet the requirements of this new legislation.

October 28, 2009 - President Obama has signed into law the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, legislation designed to make it easier for U.S. troops to cast ballots from overseas. NTS will work with State and County election officials to ensure that this legislation is implemented so as to allow every qualified military and overseas voter the opportunity to cast his or her ballot.

October 15, 2009 - NTS participates in the Technology & Homeland Security Forum in Niagara Falls, NY. Organized by Niagara County Data Processing Director Larry Helwig, this forum is Western New York's leading Technology & Homeland Security event with over 50 vendors, 6 classrooms with many educational sessions, a nationally known keynote speaker, and over 350 attendees.

September 15, 2009 - Today, Primary Election Day in New York State, NTS will provide extended customer support hours from 5:00 AM until our last customer has finished tallying unofficial election night results. Good luck on your elections!

June 24, 2009 - NTS holds a Users Group Meeting starting at 4:30 p.m. Covered will be several developments including recent enhancements to our petition management, candidate management and elected official functions, a demonstration of our Custodian Asset Tracking and Management System and details on the voter information mailer we are working on. This meeting will be held in the ballroom at the Ramada Geneva Lake Front hotel in conjunction with the Election Commissioners Annual Summer conference.

May 19, 2009 - NTS' TEAM-ED software helps the Greece Central School District successfully conduct the Annual School Budget vote, providing voter registration software, absentee ballot management, budget notice post cards and poll lists. District Clerk Lynne Armstrong comments: "Everything went very well. Had a great response to the poll books... Thank you so much for all your time and support with this conversion, I couldn't be happier with the results."

April 14, 2009 - In order to assist counties facing travel difficulties, Training Sessions in Geneva have been added. The New Staff Training will be presented on June 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Ramada Lakefront in Geneva. The Refresher on Poll worker and training on absentee enhancements will be presented on June 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. also at the Ramada Lakefront in Geneva. Please note that this is the same location that the summer conference will be held starting the afternoon of June 23 continuing through June 26.

March 31, 2009 - Special Election for the vacant 20th Congressional District seat being held in 10 counties in New York State, 9 of who use NTS' election management software and 5 of those use NTS’ election night reporting software and services.

March 24, 2009 - Training for both new and existing users of the TEAM Election Management system will be held in conjunction with the New York State Board of Elections Annual Conference in Albany. The Conference will be held April 27 29 and training for TEAM version 5.2.10 including major absentee management enhancements will be held after the State Best Practices meeting on the 29th. March 19, 2009 - Four New York Counties, Cattaraugus, Livingston, Sullivan and Madison participated in beta testing the newly enhanced absentee functionality of NTS' TEAM version 5.2.10. Beta testing went exceptionally well and several excellent ideas from the beta testers will be incorporated in the final release during 2009 Q2. Thanks Beta Testers!

December 9, 2008 - NTS has been added to the official agenda of the 2009 New York State Election Commissioners Association Winter Conference being held at the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown in January, 2009. The 2009 User's Group Meeting will take place on January 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. and will give NTS customers the opportunity to share tips and techniques with regard to using NTS software products and discuss lessons learned from the Presidential election year.

November 18, 2008 - NTS welcomes the Greece Central School District of New York as the first TEAM-ED installation. Located in the Rochester area, Greece is one of the largest school districts in New York State. NTS will be supplying Greece with printing services for budget notice post cards and Election Day poll registers as well as the comprehensive TEAM-ED Election Management System for Schools.

November 5, 2008 - The historic 2008 Presidential Election is over! After several years of campaigns, heated primaries and record registrations, the 2008 election season has completed successfully. NTS is proud to have assisted over 70 counties in 5 states serving over 6 million voters by printing election notices, Election Day poll books, providing election management and voter registration software and services and tools to report on election results in a nearly real-time manner.

September 1, 2008 - John Jennings, Vice President of NTS Data Services, LLC is very pleased to announce that Heather White is joining NTS in the role of Business Development Specialist. With a background in technology sales and marketing, Heather will be working to carry out new initiatives at NTS including Election Management for School Districts. Heather joins Mark Rossman, NTS' Director of Government Services and a 25 year NTS veteran, in providing technology solutions to counties, towns and school districts.
